It is important to see how certain materials are affected by the environment. Along the route we passed this fence with iron arrow heads on top of each rod. The photo (left) shows how rain has caused it to rust. The photo on the bottom shows another arrow head but this has not been affected in the same way. Materials change due to weather, consiquently making their texture different. From a smooth, metalic, shiny finish the metal has decayed, becoming rusty, jagged-edged and rough.

Along the route we have seen a whole range of different materials and we also witnessed them changing as it was raining that day.
